Is It Normal For B&W Companion 5th Wheel # BWRVK3600 To Lean to One Side When Not Hitched
Question:
I purchased from you in January 15 a BandW Companion RVK3600 5th wheel hitch for a 15 Ram 3500. When unhitched the head of this hitch leans sharply to the left of the hitchdrivers side. Is this normal or is there a problem with it

Expert Reply:
A 5th wheel hitch like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 that has a fully-articulating head assembly will tend to lean to one side or the other when it is not under the load of the trailer's pin weight. This is normal. In contrast, an entry-level hitch's head unit may not be quite as flexible and might tend to remain in a fixed position even when unloaded.
