What is the Weight Capacity of a Roof Rack for 2010 Chevrolet Suburban
Question:
roof rack weight capacity for raised rails

Expert Reply:
The Malone AirFlow2 roof rack system for the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban, part # MPG216, is itself is rated for a maximum load capacity of 165-lbs. This is the average weight capacity for aftermarket racks.
It is still a good idea to check your Suburban owner's manual for the roof weight capacity of your specific vehicle which could be different than the rack's. If they have different ratings, then the lower rating becomes the overall limit.
This rack uses square steel load bars which are widely compatible with a broad range of rack-mount accessories like bike carriers, cargo boxes and kayak carriers.
