Recommended Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Towing 4000lb Travel Trailer
Question:
Hi, Im looking for an anti-rattle, locking hitch pin for a 2inch hitch receiver that pulls a 4,000# travel trailer. Is there such a thing for that application, rather than a bike rack, for example? I assume there would be a huge difference in pin strength required. Right now I am using a solid pins with a lock on one end of the shaft. The other end is the type with a 45° bend, which is starting to ream outinch the hitch receiver hole on that end. Any product suggestions would be appreciated.

We have exactly what you're looking for, the # 63232. The anti-rattle lock is compatible with hollow-shank ball mounts or hitch accessories. It can be used for towing. The receiver tube of your hitch can't be more than 2-5/8 inches. If it is, use # SHP2040-XL.
The manufacturer recommends using an anti-seize compound like # LT37616 on the threads of the lock before use.
