Truck Trailer Connector Works but Camper Lights Will Not Come On
Question:
I am currently having an issue with my Trail Runner SLT by North Country. When connecting to the RV, there are ZERO lights working. No running lights, tail lights, turn signals, or anything on the exterior working. I checked the connection from the truck and everything shows that there is power going to the power socket. Nothing is working at all on the camper even though there is power at the plug. What do I need to check now? Is there a breaker panel somewhere with fuses or something else that I need to check out? Thank you!

Since there is power on the vehicle side trailer connector the issue must be on the trailer. Plug the trailer into the tow vehicle and use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to see if power is making it through the trailer side connector. If not, then you likely have to replace the trailer side connector. Also be you are using an adapter then that adapter may not be compatible or damaged.
If power is getting through to the trailer side connector you can keep testing the wires as you go back further and further on the trailer. There could be a break somewhere, damage, or, like you said, a fuse panel or transfer switch that is having problems.
