In order to connect the lighting system on your 1999 Mazda Miata to your RV's and get the brake lights and turn signals required for towing, you will need Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles, # 154-792-118158.

I have attached an article that covers the five basic components required to flat tow. Before getting the Miata set-up, I do recommend checking your owner's manual for flat towing compatibility and any restrictions or special instructions that they may have.

The Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit, # 119178KIT, that you mentioned would be used to provide a 4-way at the back of the Miata. This would be needed if you plan to tow a small trailer with the Miata.
