Recommended Trunk Mount 2-Bike Rack for 2011 Audi Q5 and Lexus RX350

Hi, I am looking for a trunk mounted bike rack that holds 1 or 2 bikes. But I want to be able to switch it back and forth between our two cars which are: 2011 Lexus RX 350 2011 Audi Q5 Do you have any trunk models that will fit both cars? Thanks!

The only racks to fit your 2011 Audi Q6 and Lexus RX350 are the suction cup types like the # 298-BH1302 or the # 298-BK1910-AB these only carry one bike each and are quite costly.

Instead, I recommend the Yakima FullBack # Y02634 for your 2011 Audi Q5 and the Saris Bones EX # SAR83FR for your Lexus RX 350. These are fits for each of your cars and would be more cost effective than the suction- cup racks that will work on both, especially since the suction-cup racks only hold 1-bike each.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll link you to a video showing how the adapter bar works.

I'd also recommend a passive security strap, part # TH533 to secure the rack to the vehicle and a cable lock, part # e98891 to lock the bikes to the Saris Bones EX on your Lexus. The Yakima FullBack for your Audi Q5 includes locks for the bikes and rack.
