Replacement Landing Gear Box for 2014 Crusader 295RST Fifth Wheel
Question:
hello I have a 2014 crusader 295RST the left front landing gear gearbox seams to be stripped as it works and when it hits a certain point it skips and makes a heavy clicking I`d like to know if I can buy a hole gearbox and or just the gears and when removing the box will I need to prop up the rv or will the gear stay put thank you

In order to recommend a replacement gearbox, I'd need to know the manufacturer and model number of your existing landing gear. I'd try operating that leg independently of the gear box if possible, which will confirm the gear box as the problem and not the jack.
The # LG-179015 gear box is compatible with most landing gear, including Stromberg Carlson, Atwood, Lippert and Venture. According to our research, all the Prime Time Crusader 5th wheels used Lippert landing gear. Replacement gears aren't available.
For safety, I'd recommend propping up your 5th wheel.
