Adapter to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer Using a Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
my goose neck hitch is the old atwood ind flip up, my round hole with ball removed has an OD of 2 5/16. will the Curt fit in there? it only has one pin as well. if it did, would that be better than the Pop Up RVCC 7.5inch Offset? that looks like a good option. thanks, have a nice weekend if you are having one.

The Curt X-5 adapter # C16210 is designed to only work with Curt Double-Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitches and will not work with your Atwood gooseneck hitch. But we do have other adapters.
Adapters such as the Pop Up you mentioned or the similar Convert-A-Ball adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 do not have a true offset. They will increase the distance between the back of the truck bed and the trailer but the pivot point remains the same meaning it will NOT help with clearance when turning.
