Troubleshooting Firestone Air Bags that Aren't Sitting Straight on Mounting Brackets
Question:
Watching, your video on how to install the 2430 air bags. I see that the vertical bolts are to be tightened after the horizontal are snugged tight. I got my air bags installed by so called experts. And I noticed the vertical bolts are at least 15 degrees of from 90 degrees. And the passenger bag does not sit, straight, one side is closed up completely, you cannot see the middle rib all the way around, like on the driver side. And the bags have difference of 15 psi to get box level, I have nothing in the backweight. Can I deflate the bags, and straighten them out? They are so obviously not perpendicular..I know I can do a better job than the so called experts.I have a 2011 Silverado 1500.

It sounds like your bags aren't installed properly if one of them is angled. There are two alignment holes that the bag can install into on the top mounting bracket. It is possible that the wrong one was used for your bags and that is why the bag is at an odd angle. In the attached video we used the rear hole to get it to line up the best.
You shouldn't have to use drastically different pressures in your bags for your truck to sit level either.

I just received firestone air bags #f2702 and am trying to install them on a 2015 silverado 2500hd. I removed the factory bumper and am trying to install top bracket. As I tighten u bolt bracket slides down bumper support due to airbag bracket being up all the way sits on round part of factory bumper bracket. Is this the correct kit for a 2015 silverado 2500hd or is there a trick to getting it to tighten down on the rounded part of factory bumper bracket
