Is There Drilling Required to Install Curt Hitch on a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle
Question:
Hello, Can I mount hitch part #C11354 while my 2013 VW Beetle Convertible 2.5L is parked or does it need to be lifted for install? Im concerned about the re-use of the two existing bolts and if loosening them will be possible with the car on the ground. For example, are those 2 bolts load bearing, and will the suspension be affected by taking them on/off? Also, I want to confirm there is no drilling necessary and included spacers will fit through existing holes in frame. Thank you

To make the installation of the Curt Hitch part # C11354 as easy as possible it will help to have the rear end of the vehicle lifted up in the air so that you can get underneath it. Removing the existing bolts in the frame would not then cause the rear of the vehicle to come apart and/or fall down after they get removed.
There is no drilling required for the install of this hitch either.
