Will Catalytic Converter Improve Engine Performance On 2008 BMW M5
Question:
The position is for the rear drivers side only,will the others be affected or how can I replace those to gain HSP.This will help it breathe better but what specs will I gain?2008 BMW M5.Thanks

A catalytic converter like part # MF99206HM is not intended to increase horsepower when installed.
The intent is to reduce the amount of contaminants released when the engine is running. Since the exhaust system is part of the overall tuning of the vehicle, if it were removed it would or could have a negative effect on the performance of the engine. The performance of the catalytic converter is monitored by the computer too, so any replacement converter must perform like the original. If it doesn't, the computer could determine that it isn't functioning properly and produce an error code.
