Longer Ball Mount Recommendation for Installation of Rock Guard
Question:
I need to increase the ball mount length by 1 inchdistance from my pin hole to the ball mount hole to allow mounting of a rock guard. I would do this by drilling a second pin hole. What is the minimum distance from the endopposite the ball mount hole that I could drill a new pin hole?

Instead of drilling an additional hole in the Ball Mount part # DTBM5200 I would recommend you go with a longer ball mount as drilling it will void the warranty and could potentially weaken the ball mount.
For that I would recommend the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC2 as it is exactly one inch longer and has the same rise/drop as the # DTBM5200.
