For a new Ram truck with the factory puck system installed you will need an adapter like the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package, part # RP30154.
The # RP30154 attaches to the pucks in the truck bed and lock to give you standard, above bed rails that you can attach the fifth wheel hitch to. A technical note in the instructions for the adapter state that if you plan on towing anything 20,000 lbs or heavier, you would need to use the included heavy-duty bolts in place of the pins normally used.
To secure the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # BWRVK3200 to the adapter, you would use the included pins that attach in the same manner as it would in standard base rails. The # BWRVK3200 is a 16,000 lb hitch that features 3/4 inch thick dual jaws that provide 360-degree jaw to king pin contact.
I have attached product review videos for these items you can check out. I have also attached the installation instructions for the adapter and the fifth wheel hitch you can take a look at.
