You will need to lower the tailgate of your vehicle and measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point on the tailgate. The # 63153 has a distance of 12-3/4 inches from the pin hole to the nearest portion of the carrier.
You will need to take the measurement you took and subtract 12.75 from that figure and that is how much the tailgate would go over the carrier platform.
