Which Wire Should I Splice my 4 to 5-Wire Adapter to on a 2004 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2004 f-150 new body.I have a 4 wire flat on my truck,my boat trailer is a 5 wire flat,I got a 4/ 5 wire flat connector,it has a blue wire coming off the connector that goes to the back up lights.I checked the wireing on the truck.When i put it in revirse i have 2 that have power coming it.I need to know witch one do i splice the wire coming off the connector to. THINK YOU.

It could be that one of those wires is hot for your brake lights, the other is for the reverse light. With the truck in park, press the brakes. The wire that goes hot then would be your brake lights. When you put the truck in reverse the first wire should still be hot, and you should have a second one come on. The second should be your reverse lights.
