Can a Trailer Hitch Mount to the Front of Ford F-350 Bed to Tie Down a Power Washer
Question:
I am looking for a trailer hitch to mount to the vertical part of the front of the bed of a F-350 pickup truck. The purpose is to tie-down a small trailer in the bed. The trailer is actually a power washer that is lifted into the bed by a forklift, so the tongue is facing forward. There are no brakes on the trailer and I dont want to tie it down solely with straps. I would suppose I need a trailer ball on an el-shaped bracket. Id like it to be removable, if possible. Do you have any options? I dont have the size of the ball but will get that. Thank you.

What you could do is use the Curt combo bar # E-9. Mounting something to the actual bed is not the best idea because the walls could be too weak or flimsy to hold or stabilize a heavy load. I wouldn't take the risk since the power washer is likely pretty heavy and if the straps failed, it could crush the truck bed where the ball mount is attached. You may need to fabricate something that is integrated into the bed supports or truck frame.
Once you secure the Curt combo bar # E-9, you can then add a ball mount with 2-inch ball like the Curt # C45036.
Unfortunately, there is not a specific product designed for your exact needs, hence the reason why some fabrication is necessary.
I included a couple short video reviews for you too.
