Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller Wiring Adapter for 2015 RAM 1500

Question:

I sent this to Tekonsha: Will the 3021-P cable work on my 2015 Ram 1500? I will be using my P2 controller! Etrailer claims it will but several sites claim it will not. My truck does not have a place to plug the single red wire found on the 3023-P that worked on my 2014. The plug under the dash on my 2015 appears to be the same type but it has four wires Black, Red, Green and White on Green. Sure hope you can resolve this problem. Many 2015 RAM owners want to instal the P-2 or P-3 in their new trucks. I do trust your word but because so many sites are claiming it does not work makes me cautious. Any input to help me get the correct cable will be helpful.

You are correct that Dodge changed the brake controller wiring in the 2015 model year truck. Neither the original 4-wire harness # 3021-P nor the extra-wire harness # 3023-P will work.

Instead you will use wiring adapter # 3024-P to install your Tekonsha brake controller, such as the Prodigy P3 # 90195.
