5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Rail Placement in a 1999 Dodge Ram Long Bed

Measurement in inches where to mount the rails in an eight foot truck bed.

Expert Reply:
It depends on the truck. For example on a 1999 Dodge Ram long bed measure from the rear edge of the truck bed (not the tailgate) forward 28-7/16 inches. That is where the back edge of the rear rail would be. Then you would use the hitch to locate the front rail. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you for kit # RP30035.
