Troubleshooting Left Turn and Stop Lights Not Working With A Trailer and a 1998 Toyota T-100
Question:
all color code wires match up with truck and trailer, but the only lights that dont work are the left side brake and turn signal...there is a green wire coming from the module in the right tail light housing and it runs to the left side rear light but its not connected to anything, this is obvious my problem..my question is where does it attach to...1998 Toyota T 100 pickup..thx

You will need to connect the green wire to the right taillight in order to have both a signal and a complete circuit. Otherwise you will experience the problem you are having.
Usually the yellow wire is left turn and stop (on a two wire system) and the green wire is right turn and stop when using a wiring harness like the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118496, which is the custom fit for your 1998 Toyota T-100. But this type of system just plugs in line with your vehicles taillights.
To be certain, you will need to test the trucks wires for function using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
Turn on the left blinker and find the wire that carries a signal in unison with the blinker. Label that wire left turn and it attaches to the yellow wire on a harness. Turn on the vehicles lights and find the wire that has a constant signal. Label that wire running lights and attach it tot the brown wire on a harness. Then do the same for the right side and attach it to the green wire of a harness. If you have a separate bulb for brake lights, find the wire that carries a signal only when the brake pedal is pressed, label that wire brake lights and attach it to the red wire on the harness.
If it is still not working, make sure everything is grounded properly on both the vehicles taillights and the trailer wiring.
