When the ETBC7 is Installed is the 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Active all the Time
Question:
This kit, and the instruction video, doesnt seem to include a relay to be installed on the 12V power line from the battery positive to the trailer connector. Isnt it recommended to install a relay such that the line is only hot when the vehicle is on? So that a hooked up trailer cant drain the vehicle battery? Thanks.

Most vehicles with factory 7-ways have the 12 volt accessory circuit hot all the time. So the # ETBC7 fits the normal 7-way wiring setup as it would allow that circuit to be active all the time. As long as it's not connected to anything it wouldn't draw anything though.
We do offer an isolation solenoid like the part # PK5231201 if you did want to make it so that the circuit is only active when the vehicle is on.
