Troubleshooting Brake Lights on 1999 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

1999 chevy 2500 pickup new body dont know how to tell the difference between no tow package aND factory package truck has a amber light meaning separate buld for blinker all lights function on the truck and got blinkers and taillights but no brake

Sounds like your 1999 Chevrolet pickup does not have the tow package wiring (you can confirm this by having a Chevy dealer run the VIN number) so you'll need to hardwire a converter like part # C59496 directly into the taillight circuits. This will give you a 4 way connector.
