What Size Bolts Come with the Curt Hitch 13364

Question:

Just got my hitch. Thank you. Cant believe it came with BAD / INCORRECT instructions. Can you get clarification from Curt on the correct screws and torques? And/Or get your customers updated installation notes. My instruction sheet dated 8/14/2013, for the 13364 and Dodge GC reads: Step 1: remove bolts using 15mm and 18mm sockets Step 2: ... Step 3: mount hight using EXISTING 10mm and 1mm boltsinch ?! Step 4: torque 10 mm fasteners to 48 lbft and 12mm to 86 lbft I cant believe that Id be the first person to bring this up in a year and a half and I dont want to simply assume that 10=15 and 12=18 E-trailer and Curt, please clarify and correct this!

Helpful Expert Reply:

The difference in diameters of the install hardware is because the fastener sizes listed in step 4 aren't the size of the wrenches used on them. It's the size of the threaded portion of the bolts.

Basically the instructions are confusing, but not incorrect.

I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
