Wiring Instructions for the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System # RM-9400
Question:
I am installing an even brake 9400 to a 2007 chevy HHR .What color wire on the brake lite switch does the #1 terminal on the ICX transmitter get hooked too Ive installed the Hopkins HM 65100 On the brake lights and turn signals ? Please Help

According to the installation instructions for the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System # RM-9400 (please see step D on page 7) the #1 terminal on the ICX transmitter should be connected to the green wire with spade connector if the Brake-Lite relay was installed. If not, then the #1 terminal should be connected to the wire from the COLD side of the HHR's brake light switch. This is the side of the switch that carries power ONLY when the pedal is pressed.
You can use a tester like # PTW2993 to verify which brake switch wire is running to the cold side of the switch.
