Are Spacers Need to Install Curt Hitch part # C13135 on a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Question:
I recently purchased this hitch and installed it on my 13 crosstrek. I installed it per your instructions with the spacers however once tightened the bolts do not come all of the way through the nuts. Theres maybe an 1/8 between the end of the bolt and where I would consider it fully threaded. How critical is leveling the hitch with the spacers?

You will need to use the spacers so that the Curt Hitch part # C13135 that you referenced will sit level when installed on your 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. As long as the carriage bolts are fully inserted through the square spacers used in the frame rails of your vehicle and you have the proper torque on all of the install hardware you would be fine.
I attached an install video that shows this hitch being installed on a very similar 2013 XV Crosstrek as yours as well.
