Curt Q20 After I unhook my 5th wheel, how can I close the jaws so I can lock the hitch?

You can close the jaws on the Curt Q20 5th wheel hitch # C16130 so you can secure it with a lock.

Grab a tool from your garage such as a heavy duty wrench, hammer or even a 10-12 inch pipe or something that you can grip from the top and will have a bottom width base area of an inch or two. Once the jaws are free of any objects, especially your hands, take a tool and act as if you are hooking up your 5th wheel trailer and proceed toward the jaws. Once you go far enough, the jaws will close shut.
