Hitch and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 1998 Ford Van
Question:
Need a hitch to fit my 1998 E350 Four Winds motor home assuming it is same as E350 van but not sure. Does it double capacity of hitch when using weight distribution set up? Also need brake controller and 4 pin to 7 pin update can you shoot me what parts needed. Thanks,

Since your van is an RV cutaway model then the only hitch that is going to work for a 1998 Ford E-350 RV cutaway model is a multi-fit motor home hitch like # 13703. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
This hitch is not rated for use with a weight distribution system. It has capacities of 3,500 lbs total trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight. Typically a WD system will increase the towing capacities for a vehicle, but it would not ever double them.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
