Best Brake Controller Recommendation for Towing a Camper
Question:
Hi I have a 1964 Streamline Countess, 26foot and 3500# dry weight. It is a dual axle unit, but only the front axles have electric brakes. They are Kelsey-Hayes brakes. I hope to tow it with a Toyota 4Runner 4.0L V6 SR5. Which brake controllers you sell, would work with this setup? Thankyou!

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional controller that will sense the amount of braking that your tow vehicle is applying and will apply the same amount of braking power to the trailer brakes. I attached a demo video for this controller for you to check out as well.
You didn't tell me what year Toyota 4Runner you have so I can't recommend all of the needed components to install it, but if you check out the link I attached you can select your year/make/model and the install info for a brake controller in your vehicle will be listed.
