Spare 4.80-12 Wheel/Tire for Yacht Club Boat Trailer

Question:

I want to buy a spare tire for a Yacht Club boat trailer. It has 4.80-12 tires on it now, but I measured the rim diameter and they are 13 inches. What should I buy?

As far as the tire size discrepancy goes, I believe you have 12 inch diameter wheels, if you indeed have 4.80-12 tires. You can't fit a 12 inch tire on a 13 inch wheel, but if you measured the wheel from the wrong spot, you can easily come up with 13 inches (see diagram I've provided).

As long as the 4.80-12 tires/wheels are working well for you, there wouldn't be any good reason to switch to a different size.

Unless you have an extra wheel lying around, you'll need a wheel/tire combo. As you can see by clicking the provided link, we have white painted, galvanized or aluminum wheels in 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt patterns with tires that have B and C load ranges. If you're just needing the tire only, I'll link you to our choices there, as well. Your current tires should have the load rating listed on them.
