5Th Wheel Hitch Frame Mounting Brackets for 2002 Chevy Silverado 3500 Dually

Question:

I bought a custom bed rail install kit from you about 2 months ago for a 2013 ram 1500. I sold truck before putting in need something bigger . I now have a 2002 chevy 3500 DRW 4x4 and was wondering is there a bracket kit I can get to be able to use fithwheel bed rails I have already purchased ?

I took the liberty of checking on your previous order and saw that you'd ordered the Reese # RP50083-58. Although the Husky # HT31415 bracket kit you mentioned would theoretically be compatible with your existing Reese bed rails, I would not recommend using bed rails and bracket kits from different manufacturers. Mechanically speaking, everything would fit together, but since the two components haven't been tested together the weight capacity would be unknown, which isn't a good thing.

I'd urge you to use a compatible Reese frame bracket like part # RP50064 for a custom fit option that would require no drilling into the truck frame or # RP30439 for a universal option that would require drilling into the frame. Going with the custom option would considerably shorten the install time.
If you don't have a 7-way installed in the truck bed, you can install one by using part # 41157. I've linked you to an install video showing the custom fifth wheel install kit being installed on a similar truck, as well as to a video showing the wiring being installed.
