Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I see 3 different hitches listed for a 2010 Grand caravan and not really anything different between them. Are the mounting the same for all of them? Which should I buy?

Expert Reply:
The designs of trailer hitches from different manufacturers for a given vehicle often look the same. This is because the hitches have to be a certain shape to fit nicely under the vehicle.
The most popular hitch for your 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan is Curt hitch # 13364. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver. It is rated for 400 pounds tongue weight and 4,000 pounds gross trailer weight. Consult the vehicle owner's manual for the towing capacity of the van. Whichever is lower, the hitch or the van, is the capacity you need to go by.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And for trailer wiring you can use # 118552. I have included links to videos showing installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
