Under the rear of your truck, near the back bumper, you should find the factory trailer wiring harness. It will probably be located on the driver's side frame rail, just behind the rear tire. The harness will terminate in a round plug that would plug directly into the trailer connector I'd recommend, which is the Hopkins # HM40975. This connector provides both a 7-way and a 4-pole.
The round plug you find under the vehicle will have a protective cap on the end of it to keep out road crud and moisture. Simply mount the bracket for the connector to the underside of the bumper, insert the trailer connector into it and plug the harness into the rear of the connector. You'll need to press pretty firmly until the connector clicks into place. The harness should have enough length that it will reach the trailer connector with no problem. The procedure will be similar to that shown in the video I've linked for you.
