Installing a brake controller in your 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500 that has an integrated brake controller isn't hard at all. If you check out the help article I attached it will walk you through everything you would need to do.
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 that you referenced would be a great choice for a brake controller. Especially if you plan to tow a trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes.
