Can a Reverse Lockout Be Installed on Tow Dolly Equipped with Hydraulic Surge Coupler
Question:
For a tow dolly Master tow w/SURGE brakes. I would like to be able to back up without having to manually lock the surge actuator. Do you have a device that can do that? Maybe something that ties into the backup light wiring and tells the surge to not apply when the wiring is hot?

If you have a tow dolly similar to the RoadMaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1 that instead has hydraulic surge brakes it may be possible install a reverse lockout solenoid to disable the hydraulic braking when you reverse the dolly.
We offer reverse lockout solenoids for many brands of coupler that install inline with the brake line and take in a reverse light signal from the tow vehicle to block hydraulic fluids from engaging the brakes. For example, if your dolly uses one of the compatible models of coupler we offer the Titan Solenoid Valve # T4748800.
You can check your coupler for a brand and part number to see if we offer a compatible reverse lockout solenoid for it.
