Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2014 Chevy Traverse LT
Question:
Im trying to locate the harness on my 2014 traverse. The instructions advise it is on the right side just above the muffler. I have not been able to locate the harness. I have a traverse LT. Please advise

Tow Ready wiring harness # 118271 is designed for 2014 Chevy Traverse models that came with a factory tow package. It is possible that your model does not have the factory tow package.
But, it is also possible that the connector you need is tucked up where you can't easily see it or reach it. You would need to fish around for it up above that panel in the location where it is supposed to be.
If you do not have the factory tow package (have the dealer run the VIN if you are not sure) then you would need a different method of installing a 7-Way. You would start by installing a 4-Way, # C56181, and then using installation kit # ETBC7. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
