What is the Right Ball Mount for a Class I Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on a 2014 Mazda 3
Question:
I installed a Drawtite hitch on my Mazda3 2014 but my drawbar does not fit, it hits a metal stop before the holes line up. Do I need to purchase a different drawbar?

It sounds like the ball mount you are using with Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24912 on your 2014 Mazda 3 is actually a Class II ball mount. The hitch is a Class I which is why it has that safety stop in it. It is there to prevent installation of Class II accessories so you don't accidentally overload the hitch.
For Class I trailer hitches, you have to use the ball mount specified by the hitch manufacturer. In this case it is # 3593. And when used with your hitch and vehicle it must be used in the rise position only.
For a 1-7/8 inch ball that fits this ball mount use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258.
