Cargo Carrier Clearance on Rear of 2010 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Will curt hitch cargo C 18151 fold without hitting the spare tire on my two door, 2010 jeep Wrangler? If it folds without hitting, how and where can I buy this C 18151 accesory? Thank you.

In order to choose a folding carrier that will work , you'll first need to measure to determine how much clearance you'll need. Measure from the hitch pin hole in your receiver, rearward until you clear the furthest rearward edge of the spare tire. This measurement represents how much clearance you'll need. If you click the provided link, you can see exactly how to take this measurement.
The Curt Folding Carrier you referenced, part # C18151 will need a minimum of 6 inches of clearance in order to fold up. When we installed hitches on a Wrangler with a stock spare tire, we found that the distance from the hitch pin hole to the spare tire ranged from 6 to 10 inches. If your tire is larger than stock, this distance might be greater. Given this, I'm rather doubtful that the Curt # C18151 would work for you.
However, Stromberg Carlson does offer a different carrier that's a little larger, part # CC-100 has a longer shank that would stand a better chance of fitting. If the distance from your hitch pin hole to the rear of the spare tire is less than 9 inches, this carrier would fit but does not fold up.
I've linked you to the # CC-100 product description page, where you can read more information about the carrier, view a product demonstration video or order the carrier by adding it to a shopping cart.
