Best Way to Install RV Trailer Hitch on I-Beam Frame with a 4 Inch Bumper Below on a 2014 Reflection

Question:

I believe this would work for me except that the 4 inch bumper is situated below the I-beam frame. Therefore the receiver would not pass under the bumper. Do you customize these hitches to fit? A bumper mount is not recommended on these trailers.

The 2014 reflection by Grand Design model 337RLS with a 4-inch bumper you referenced won't work with Curt RV hitch # 13703 if you need something that drops down more than 4 inches. The reason is because the bracket won't go down far enough. See picture I included.

What you may be able to do is have a hitch fabricated using some of our fabrications parts. I have included a link to them for you to view. A local machine shop or a shop that works on trailers should be able to determine what additional parts are needed.

It's always a good idea that any welding should be done by a certified welder.
