Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Infinity QX70

Question:

Hi everybody! I am thinking about getting a Thule Hullavator to carry my kayak. It is long and I am 60 and load it alone. I drive an Infinity QX70 and, given its barrel shape, am concerned about hitting the side of the car. I understand that there are long square bars about 65, but they will be protruding a lot away from the base on the side rails. What would you recommend? The thing that a kayak can be easily loaded by one person is great, but will it work with my car? Would appreciate you recommendation. Thank you.

I checked with Thule and the Hullavator # TH898 would work well on your 2014 QX70 as long as you install an aftermarket roof rack on the vehicle. Even if you have factory crossbars you would need to install an aftermarket set of crossbars to install this rack.

If you have side rails that run from front to back with or without crossbars you would want the part # MPG217 for the carrier to attach.
