Recommended Wiring Harness to Dolly Tow 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible
Question:
We have 2008 Chrysler Sebring hardtop convertible that we will dolly tow behind our motorhome. I want to utilize the lights on the car but dont like the idea of drilling a hole in the lens so the diode system sounds best. An OOPS while drilling could be expensive! I will eventually install a hitch on the car to pull the dolly in campgrounds or a small trailer we have at home so will need to do a light package for that when the time comes if that is of any significance here. SO, what are you recommendations? Looking at the items so far most say Without electric seats, and ours does have electric seats. Not sure what the significance of electric seats is if you are bypassing the cars electrical system. Thanks!

To wire your 2008 Chrysler Sebring for dolly towing behind a motorhome I recommend installing a tow bar wiring diode kit like the Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit, # 154-792-118158.
I have attached a drawing that details the 6 diode installation for you. You will need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to identify the correct wiring circuits to splice into, and you will need to install a 4-Way wiring connector on your motorhome if it is not already equipped with this style of wiring. If your motorhome has combined wiring, you can use one of the ends of the wiring harness included in the # RM-154 kit to add a 4-way on the motorhome.
I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he said you can tap into the wiring harness on the dolly. He also said the wiring harness will work fine with your Sebring's electric seats.
