Trailer Hitch, Wiring, Ball Mount, and Balls for a 1999 Toyota Camry
Question:
Dear Sir of Madam, Im looking to install a hitch on my 1999 Camry, but I want to get the right parts for the job. Im looking at the following: 1. Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch for the 1999 Toyota Camry Code: 36336 2. Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the 1999 Toyota Camry Code: C55358 3. Class II Drawbar 3-1/8inch Rise Kit Draw-Tite Ball Mounts Code: 36061 4. I need a hitch ball, but not sure which one to get. Can you recommend a hitch ball? Also, is there something I need to do to calculate my preferred ball height so I know what draw bar and ball dimensions make the most sense?

The Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36336 and wiring harness # C55358 are correct for your 1999 Toyota Camry. The ball mount # 36061 is correct for the hitch as well.
There is a way to determine the right ball mount height to tow a trailer level but it is moot because you can't use a different ball mount other than what the hitch manufacturer specifies. But nevertheless I have included a link to the right that explains how to measure to choose the right ball mount should you need it for any Class III or above hitches in the future.
For a ball use # 19256 if the trailer coupler requires a 1-7/8 inch ball. Or use # 19258 if the trailer coupler requires a 2 inch ball.
