Capacity of Swagman RV Bumper Trailer Hitch # S64025 with Anti-Rattle

Question:

I the know my bumper can withstand the load I am interested in. A cargo hauler and Generator. Lets say 200 lbs. Can this mount hold that? Thank you.

I spoke with my contact at Swagman, the manufacturer of the RV bumper trailer hitch # S64025, and he stated that the capacity is going to be about 100 pounds, but no higher. So if your cargo carrier and generator are 200 pounds, I would advise against installing this particular hitch for your application.

We have another bumper mounted hitches that would be a bit more heavy duty. The Curt RV bumper hitch # E-100 could handle up to 350lbs of tongue weight.

We do also carry frame mounted hitches for RVs, which should offer more weight capacity. I have included a link to the frame mount RV hitches below. These hitches will work much better for your application. All you will need to do is get an outside to outside frame measurement on the vehicle to determine which hitch width would be required.
