2015 Subaru Forester Cargo Box Recommendation

Question:

I recently purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester with rail and cross bars cross bars from the dealership / @ ~ $50 with purchase of car. If I am purchasing a THULE Roof Top Carrier, can those manufacturer cross bars hold the roof top carrier or do I need to purchase THULE CROSS BARS @ more than $200. I thought I read that the manufacturer crossbars cant hold more than a certain weight? Thanks a lot.

Every roof rack has a weight capacity. Whether it's a factory rack or an aftermarket one there will be a capacity that shouldn't be exceeded with weight from roof mounted cargo.

The Thule racks for your vehicle have a 165 lb capacity. You will need to with a Subaru dealership to determine what the factory rack that is installed on your vehicle's capacity is.

Thule recommends the Thule cargo box # TH6358B for the factory rack of your 2015 Subaru Forester.
