There are a couple of other things you can do for your travel trailer in addition to a weight distribution hitch to help with sway.

The issue you are experiencing is not uncommon even on larger vehicles like your 2007 Chevy Tahoe and even some trucks with certain tire sizes. The fact of the matter is that sometimes chains are required by law and there is no way a dealer or car manufacturer can force you to break the law.

If you get the Out of Stroke error message on the Lippert Ground Control system, such as # LC358590, then that indicates that the jack has extended as far as it will go and cannot go any further.
