There are two reasons the B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3700 only shows up for the 8 foot bed models of the 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the factory rail kit.
Biggest reason is because the rail kits between the short and long bed GM rail kits are different dimensions so the hitch won't physically fit. There are not any fuses on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that must be pulled before being flat-towed according to the owner's manual.
