Correct, the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ACM150CH is a brand new install, so it won't use any of the original stuff.
There is a built in thermostat, but there is not a remote so if you needed to change the temperature you'd need to manually do it on the unit.

I recommend using a Furrion Vision S system like the # FOS43TASF you were looking at and there's a good chance that your 2021 Keystone Passport came with pre-wiring for a Furrion camera system on the rear. When it comes to checking your retract/extend functions not working it sounds like you may just need to swap some wiring on the back. I will attach picture of the wire swaps. It sounds funny but per the manfuacturer that does seem to help. If that doesn't work I would recommend purchasing the new replacement head # LC285160.
