  • Replacing Fan Motor on Trailer Vent with MA10-20270
  • I checked with the manufacturer and the tiny screw you're seeing is a set screw. You will use an Allen wrench/key to remove this. I'm attaching a picture with a set of installation instructions for you to refer to when you're replacing the MaxxFan Lift Motor # MA10-20270 . We don't have the new/updated instructions available, but where it refers to a nut holding the blades on to the motor shaft, this is now a set screw like you're seeing. All of the other steps will remain the same.

  • Troubleshooting A Furrion Tankless Water Heater That Turns On When The Toilet Is Flushed
  • What you're saying leads me to believe that the water line running to the toilet may branch off of the hot water line. This is not correct but sadly isn't uncommon. I discovered when remodeling one of the bathrooms in my own home that the builder had the water line for the toilet connected to the hot line instead of the cold. I recommend tracing those water line from the toilet to make sure that it's not connected to the hot side and calling for hot water every time you use it. This would...

  • Troubleshooting Tail Light Issues on New Grand Design Trailer
  • Since you tested the tow vehicle's connector and know it's working properly, we can at least focus all our attention on the trailer side. It sounds like you've already done this, but it certainly sounds like there's some kind of ground issue on the Grand Design that's causing the dim lights, and now the issue on the left side tail light. Check once more to make sure all your ground connections, both the main harness ground for the 7-Way and each individual ground for the light assemblies...

  • Troubleshooting MaxxFan Not Opening on 2017 Grand Design Reflection
  • It looks like you have the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered Lift - 4 Speed - White # MA00-04751KSX. The unit sounds like it is malfunctioning and this could be due to the rain sensor # MA34FR. It sounds to me like the sensor is seeing moisture whether there or not and keeping the power lid from opening. I recommend unplugging the rain sensor and seeing if all the other functions work. If so, then simply replace that sensor. If the other features still do not work,...

  • Trailair Rotaflex Pin Box Replacement
  • I reached out to my contact at Lippert and this pin box is not serviceable. Is there a chance you are using an autosliding hitch or something that might exert some leverage on that cushion area? The replacement pin box would be the Lippert # LC328330 (1621 Bolt Pattern - Rated 18K) Trailair pin box with rubber compound to absorb shocks. Another option is the Lippert # LC179879 Trailair Flex Air rated 18,000 pounds and 1621 bolt pattern with an internal airbag and a shock absorber to...

  • Troubleshooting LF Error on Lippert Ground Control 3.0
  • If a fault is showing only on the left front jack of your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 even after switching the left and right jacks and resetting the system, then you'll want to check the corresponding connector and fuse on the control module. If those look good then that sounds like you need to replace the control module with part # LC304136. If you didn't try resetting your system after switching those connectors then I recommend trying that before you purchase a new part....

  • Troubleshooting the Replacement Cup Holder for Thomas Payne
  • To operate the lights on the Cup Holder for Thomas Payne Momentum Recliners and Sofas # 195-387597 you just use the button found on the outer ring of the cup holder (be sure that it is not locked). If when the lights are off, the system is still lit (other than the small spots on the buttons) you likely have a malfunction and will want to unplug the chair to reset it. If that doesn't solve the issue, then the switch is bad and you will need the Replacement Cup Holder for Thomas Payne Momentum...

  • Troubleshooting Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Experiencing Retraction and Power Issues
  • With your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590, since you have power to the unit confirmed and have already disconnected the touch pad and controller letting them remain disconnected for more than 15 minutes for reset, you will most likely need to replace the control module. This is the brains of the system and since you can manually retract we don't know the fuses are good so you will want to check them individually on that control module. 9 out of 10 times, replacing the control module...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes Damaged From Breakaway Pin Being Pulled and Sparks from Battery
  • I'm really sorry to hear about the mishaps on your brand new trailer! When reading through your descriptions the first thing that comes to my mind is the possibility that there's an exposed wire somewhere along the trailer that's making contact with the frame. This is essentially powering the frame so that when you attach the ground cable it's creating those sparks (which is not normal). If this isn't the exact cause of everything, there's at least something going on with the factory...

  • Troubleshooting Weak 12" Electric Brakes with Full Power Being Sent to Them
  • It looks like you have the correct voltage to your Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-7-SA so I recommend re-checking the adjustment. You said they seemed to work but you didn't mention how much you had initially adjusted them. You want there to be a slight drag when you're spinning the wheel by hand without applying the brakes. It's possible that the brakes are strong enough that you can't spin them by hand with full power applied, but the weight and momentum of your...

  • Maxx Air Fan Lid Unable to Fully Open
  • It sounds like the lift arms aren't able to keep the lid up to the fan's fully-opened height. There are a few things that may cause this. You may have already tried this, but push the manual knob in when the you've reached the fully-opened position to engage the locking mechanism. If that doesn't solve the problem, there are some troubleshooting steps to take. First, check to make sure the bolts of the lift arms are fully tightened. If there are loose components, it may not be able to...

  • Troubleshooting Single Brake Assembly Replacement Getting Hot
  • Typically when it comes to breaking in a new self-adjusting assembly like the # AKEBRK-35R-SA the issue is weak braking and not too much braking or overheating. The breaking in process allows the brake shoes and magnet to seat into the drum. I would start by double checking the castle nut and make sure it is not overtightened. Hand tighten it and then back it off slightly. The other possibility is that your new brake assembly is doing all of the braking, hence the additional heat. It is...

  • Why Is My Brake Fluid Coming Out Discolored When Bleeding the Brakes
  • If the brake fluid that came out when bleeding the brakes after a disc brake conversion # HSE7K-TR1 came out discolored then there's a contaminant or water in the lines somewhere. The only way to clear it out would be to run more fluid through it to pass all of the contaminant out. You'll want to bleed the brake assembly furthest from the actuator first and work your way closer to the actuator.

  • Jensen Stereo JWM70A Won't Load DVDs
  • If your Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A will not load DVDs, and you are sure they are not damaged in any way, then there is an internal issue with player. The stereo has a 1-year warranty, but if that has expired you will need to get a new Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A.

  • Troubleshooting A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System Monitor That Goes Black When Using View All
  • I spoke with Furrion and found that this is a known issue with the wiring on the side marker cameras # FCE48TASL. A lot of people have been installing the trigger wire in with the power wire instead of running it to the turn signal or just capping it off. I've attached an installation video I did below where I show the wires for the cameras at the 6:18 minute mark. You'll want to remove the whole side marker camera from the trailer to get to the wiring and disconnect the trigger wire...

  • Troubleshooting Auto-Level Failure With A Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Leveling System
  • It sounds to me like you need to reset your Zero Point Calibration of your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590. This is a common issue and Lippert recommends raising the front of the trailer just a bit above level when rolling through the manual leveling steps in the Zero Point Calibration routine. I've attached the steps below for you: 1. In manual mode, run the jacks to level the trailer. This is best achieved by placing a level in the center of...

  • Stabilizer Jack Troubleshooting For 2018 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel.
  • Ok for hydraulic jacks that have a mind of their own you will need to do a bypass test first. Retract jack in question. If retracting hydraulic landing gear, HLG, both jacks will retract. If retracting leveling jack, all jacks will retract. Once jack is fully retracted, remove the extend hose (hose located at the top of the jack). If testing ROAD SIDE HLG or REAR STAB JACKS, the hose will be mounted to a red restricted flow valve block. At this point DO NOT attempt to extend the jacks....
