The Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch part # C87CR is designed to be welded to the frame of a vehicle. I cannot recommend bolting and drilling unfortunately. The frame will need to be clean and clear of obstructions before welding. In regards to the actual welding, this would need to be done by a trainer professional, make sure precautions are taken such as unhooking the battery.
