  • Brake Controller Install on 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
  • That is correct. If your 2021 Wrangler Unlimited has the connector located under the dash to the left of the steering column near the top of the e-brake pedal as shown in the provided photo, you'd use the # 3073-P harness to connect the # 90195 Tekonsha P3 to the connector under the dash. You'd want to sever the blue wire exiting the rear of the controller and connect it to the blue output circuit you ran from the MOPAR 7-way you installed. This assumes that the connector under the dash...

  • Recommended PSI For Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs on 2007 GMC Sierra 2500
  • I believe you are referring to the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57575 for the 2007 GMC Sierra 2500. There is not a specific PSI per LB of weight when it comes to the Air Lift springs. They can be adjusted between 5-100 PSI. I recommend to fill them until your setup is level but do not exceed 100 PSI. It it easier to use a compressor if you do not already have one I recommend to take a look at the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System part # AL74000. This will...

  • Tow Rating of Only Bolted-On Underbed Rail Kit for Ford 30886
  • You are correct in all instances here. The Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP87VR does require you to get the brackets directly from your Ford dealer. Additionally, since they will be bolted on instead of fully welded, the tow rating of this system does max out at 20,000 lbs, as you can see in the cut out of the linked directions.

  • How Does Neck of LaSalle Bristol Utopia Faucet Attach to Valve Body
  • I checked with LaSalle Bristol for info on how the fittings you mentioned connect of the # 34420380R340NABX and they send me the following: The spout sleeve has a lip that needs to be inserted into the channel on the spout. Once that is in place the spout will tightly fit into the faucet deck.

  • Will the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs Hold Up to Weather in Alaska
  • The Firestone Coil-Rite # F4174 are rated for use in temperatures as low as -40F, so they will be able to handle some of the worst weather that Alaska has to offer. You would not need to deflate them in cold weather, but it's likely that these bags would lose some of their pressure naturally because of the cold and the laws of physics. The one precaution you can take to avoid air leakage is by making sure that you use a tubing cutter # AL10530 during installation, which will make sure that...

  • How Long is the Integrated Locking Cable on the Thule Apex XT 4
  • The lock on the Thule Apex XT4 # TH9025XT is going to be approximately 36" long and runs from the mast of the rack to the front of one of the bars, where it is locked into place. I've seen these used with many adapter bars, but I can understand your concern that it won't be long enough to run under the frames of the bikes. For that reason you may want to instead use an extra long cable lock like the Malone LockUp Cable Lock # MPG357 which is 10 feet long and will allow you to secure all...

  • Location for Reese Base Rail Installation on a 1994 Ford F-150
  • The correct Reese base rail kit that fits your 1994 Ford F-150 is part # RP30035 and it comes with the base rails, mounting brackets, and all of the hardware that you need. If you happen to already have the base rails then you need the kit with the mounting brackets and hardware as part # RP30439. Should you already have the base rails and the mounting hardware then you just need the hardware needed to bolt the rails to the brackets which is part # RP58504. The installation instructions...

  • How to Remove Trailer Connector From Hitch Mounted Bracket
  • It looks as if your hitch crossbar has been drilled into and riveted into place which is a BIG TIME no-no. The people that installed it should have known better as drilling into a hitch can weaken it's structural integrity. To remove the trailer connector from the bracket, simply remove the 4 nuts holding the connector onto the bracket. At the bottom of the bracket, there's a gap that will allow the wires to slip through. If you want to remove the bracket from the hitch, the easiest way...

  • Wire Color for Brake Stop Lamp Switch Cold Side on 2006 Chevy Silverado
  • You'll be looking for a white wire coming off the brake stoplight switch located at the top of the brake pedal. However, you don't actually need to do that, the 2006 Silverado actually has a connector under the dash in the junction box behind the emergency brake pedal as shown in the provided photo that lets you directly plug in the controller. Once the black cover of the junction box is removed, plug the harness into the second from the left slot in the top row. For a Tekonsha brake...

  • Does Signal Booster for TST TPMS Come With Inline Fuse
  • I reached out to the manufacturer, TST, about the Signal Booster for TST TPMS # TST-507-R, who told me the following: 1) The repeater does come with an inline fuse on the positive (red) wire. 2) All current repeaters do come with ring terminals. 3) When mounting the booster inside (such as in a bay) you can use any SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) switch. For this I recommend the Pollak Heavy-Duty Toggle Switch - SPST- On-Off # PK34212. The booster can be added to or used as a replacement...

  • Should I Run my Generator Until it is Empty Before Refilling the Fuel Tank?
  • That's a good question and no you don't have to wait until the gas tank is empty to refill your A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator part # 289-SUA2000i or any other generator for that matter. You should shut the generator off before refilling and give it a little time to cool of before doing so. The one time I do recommend running a generator out of fuel is before storing it for a long time. What I do with my generators is to turn the gas off to the engine in this case by...

  • Can an Ultra-Fab Leveling Jack be Used to Change a Tire
  • We have better options because leveling jacks like the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979006 shouldn't be used to raise a vehicle. They're only for stabilizing despite their weight capacity. Instead you want something like the Powerbuilt bottle jack, part # ALL640405. It has plenty of capacity at 4,000 pounds and is for raising a vehicle like your X5 to change a tire. It's also pretty compact and not very expensive. Another option that's a bit of a step up is an electric scissor jack like part # PTW1609....

  • Is the Roadmaster Invisibrake a Proportional Braking System
  • You're correct that the Roadmaster Invisibrake # RM-8700 is not a true proportional supplemental braking system; it's considered a "progressive" system, meaning that when braking is called for, InvisiBrake immediately engages the brake pedal and rapidly ramps up the braking the setting you have selected. I have a solution for what you're looking for in a supplemental braking system, but all supplemental braking systems will require additional tow bar wiring to control the turn, brake and...

  • Installation Video of Brake Controller and 7-Way Trailer Wiring on 2016 Chrysler Town and Country
  • I attached a video from when we installed a Prodigy P3, part # 90195, in a 2015 Chrysler Town and County. Your P2, part # 90885, is the same process and it'll be the same on your 2016 as well. In the video we also use the # ETBC7 kit for the wiring. You could have gotten our # ETBC7 kit which includes the 7-way adapter and all the wiring, connectors, and breakers you need but since you already have the Hopkins # HM47180 you can add our # 5506 kit for the rest of the parts. This will make...

  • Recommended Latch Lock to Replace Original Cam Style Locks
  • It sounds like you are talking about baggage door latches, and for that I recommend the Lippert Components Standard Baggage Door Latch Kit # LC317649. While this kit (like all the others) does not have instructions available, it does come with everything needed for the install to make it simple, though you may need the Lippert Components Standard Baggage Door Mounting Plate # LC227099 if you do not have a mounting plate.

  • Installation of EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch on 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500
  • EcoHitch does not allow their instruction manuals to be linked, so I cut out and added the most relevant portions of the installation of the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7352. This hitch, which is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, requires you to first remove the front grill and bumper, for which there is instructions in the manual which is included with the hitch. The rest of the installation is straightforward, requiring you to bolt...

  • Installing a Brake Controller on my 2005 E-350 Chassis Motorhome
  • In your situation with the Brake signal having no way to get to the 7-Way plug on the back of your coach you will want to run your own wire. I recommend using the 12 Gauge Black Primary Wire part # 12-1-1 to connect from the blue wire off the controller to the blue wire coming off the back of your 7-way connector using DW05745-5 to make the connection at each end. Because your controller is responding properly otherwise you should not have to do anything with the red stoplight switch wire.
