  • Where are Fifth Wheel Installation Rails Placed in Bed of 2008 Ford F-350
  • The instructions call for the rear rail to be placed first, with it's rear edge 32-1/2 inches forward of the rear edge of the truck bed (not the rear edge of the tailgate) as shown in the provided diagram. I've linked you to the installation instructions for the Reese # RP30035 which is Reese's version of the universal fifth wheel hitch installation kit as I was unable to access the instructions for the Curt # C16101. Both install kits are identical and install in the same exact manner....

  • Do I Need to Cut Holes for the Seat Brackets with the VanRug # VRF92 for My 2013 Ford E-350?
  • I went ahead and called my tech at BedRug, and she confirmed that you will have to cut out the seat bracket openings when installing the VanRug Custom Floor Mat # VRF92 on your 2013 Ford E-350 standard passenger van. This would be your best option since we do not carry another cargo floor mat that does not require cutting for the seat brackets. Unfortunately, my tech said that this cutting does void the warranty as well.

  • Does Bargman Trailer Taillight # 30-92-002 Require Additional Mounting Bracket
  • The install of the Bargman Trailer Tail Light # 30-92-002 does not require a mounting bracket. To install this you would remove the lens of it and then attach the back bracket directly to the rear of the camper and then from there you'd be able to install the lens back on to it and you'd be ready to go.

  • Will My Spare Tire Still Fit After Installing The Draw-Tite 41004 On A 1994 Ford F-150
  • From what I could find out, the Draw-Tite # 41004 will sit below the frame rails and not inside them at all. So as long as your spare tire sits in between said frame rails, there will be absolutely no issue at all. I did include a picture of this hitch installed as well, but I am not sure what year truck it is installed on. It should still be a good reference though.

  • Can I Use the Foot Sensor for the Lift Gate on a 2014 Ford Escape with Hidden Hitch # 87627
  • According to the trailer hitch installation instructions that come with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75758 that you referenced, you can install the hitch on a 2014 Ford Escape with hands-free lift gate, though it will limit the sensor areas to spots directly next to the exhaust exits (towards the center of the vehicle and not on the outboard side). I have linked a diagram of the sensor areas for you. To complete the towing set up, I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes...

  • Installing a 5 Pole Trailer Connector on a Ford Explorer with Factory Trailer Wiring
  • If you only need a 5-pin trailer connector for your trailer, then the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter, # 20036, would be the easiest option. This adapter plugs into your existing 4-way trailer connector and has an additional blue wire. The blue wire will splice into the reverse light circuit on your Explorer. The best place to find the reverse light wire is at the back of the taillight assemblies. To access the back of the taillight assemblies, you may have to loosen or remove the...

  • Tools Needed To Install Roadmaster Rear Ant-Sway Bar
  • You are right, removing the u bolt nuts is a very important step to the install the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-149. The size of the U bolts will determine what size the nuts holding them in place are. If they are 3/4" in diameter U bolts then you need a 1 1/8" socket to remove them. If the U bolts are 7/8" in diameter then you would use a 1 5/16" socket, or a 33mm would work as well. They are very tight and can be difficult to remove so I recommend that you spray them down...

  • Will Adding Chains to Titan HItch Box Extension Make it a Weight Distribution System
  • The chains you typically see with the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 41" - 48" Long # RP45018 are safety chains. Although it is compatible with a weight distribution hitch, this is nothing more than an extension of the hitch on the back of your vehicle. If you plan on using a WDH you want to choose one based on your loaded tongue weight. For example, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # EQ37100ET would...

  • Recommended Curt Weight Distribution System for Jayco Jay Feather Trailer
  • The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # C17499 will allow a rise of up to 6-1/2 inches so it will work well for you. The shank will need to be inverted for the rise position and you will put the hardware in the 3rd and 5th holes from the top when inverted. You will need to torque the hitch ball and the shank to the manufacturer specs, so if you don't have the ability to do that on your own, I recommend going to a local mechanic...

  • Does the TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade Require Drilling On a 2020 Ford F-250
  • The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade w Quick-Disconnect part # TLA7310S which are a fit for a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty would require drilling if you didn't have any pre-drilled holes on the lower overload springs which appears to be the case. I'd suggest the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL76KV for a no-drill option which gives you much more control.

  • How to Convert 7-way on 2000 Ford Van to a 4-Pole Trailer Connector
  • If your vehicle currently has a 7-way and you'd like to convert that to a 4 pin connector, the easiest way to make that happen would be to use an adapter like # 47345. If you'd rather not use an adapter, you can remove your existing 7-way, and replace it with a 4-pole/7-way connector using part # HM40975-11998. Going with the more permanent solution means you won't have to worry about driving off and leaving the adapter laying on the bumper and losing it.

  • Can Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Light # QH16CTS Be Wired into Reverse Lights of 2013 Ford F-150
  • It is possible to wire an auxiliary light such as the Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Light # QH16CTS into the reverse light circuit of a vehicle. In order to do so the circuit must have the current capacity for both the OEM bulbs and the additional light. I researched in the online manual for your 2013 F-150 the bulbs used and the fuse rating for the reverse light circuit. The truck uses two 921 bulbs, each rated to draw 1.3 amps. The two bulbs together will draw 2.6 amps. This circuit is protected...

  • How To Fix 1" Gap After Installing Timbrens On a 2000 Ford F-250
  • The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TFR150SDE which is a fit for a 2000 Ford F-250 is designed to produce around 1/2" - 1-1/2" gap. It will still work to reduce sag/squat with a gap but not till the threshold of the suspension is reached. Some prefer more of a buffer than others since the ride can be rougher when engaged. Nevertheless, you can use the spacer part # A25723-90AH00 for 1" or part # TA25722-90P00 for 1/2" to close the gap.
