While very similar there are few key differences between the two Draw Tite hitches that fit your 2013 Kia Optima. The part # 24965 costs less but has a more in-depth install which requires underbody panel trimming/removal.
The part # 24853 will install in almost half the time and does not require trimming of underbody.
I attached install videos for both hitches as well. view full answer...
For Class I hitches like the Draw Tite part # 24915 which is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Kia Soul you have to go with the recommended ball mount by the manufactuer otherwise the warranty of the hitch is voided. So for your vehicle you have to use the ball mount # 3593 which has a 2-1/8 inch rise.
For a 2 inch ball part # 19258 or for a 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256.
If you need wiring then you'd want the part # 118637 which I attached an install video for. view full answer...
The Thule Force XL XT part # TH6358B is similar but definitely an upgraded version of the Force XL part # TH625. The XT has the latest version of Thule Quick Grip mounting hardware, has the newer angular look to the box, and has better clearance for allowing the rear hatch of the vehicle to open. The XT requires at least 51-1/8 inches from the center of your front bar back to the hatch seam and the standard Force requires 53-5/8.
I attached review videos for both boxes that show the big... view full answer...
If you will be using the trailer hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier than I recommend the etrailer hitch # e72TR because it does not have the stabilization strap requirement for non-trailer loads like the Curt, # C13281. It also costs less. In fact, even if you were towing I would still recommend the etrailer hitch because it is at a better price point.
While the designs of these 2 hitches are a little different how and where they install is about the same. I have... view full answer...
When it comes to hitch mount bike racks there are 2 styles to choose from, platform and hanging. The platform style lets you rest the bike in some sort of cradle and the typically has a ratcheting arm that secures the bike. The hanging style uses arms with cradles that you rest your bikes on.
In the platform category we have the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085 which has a very basic design and has a ratcheting arm that secures the bikes by their frame. It has tilt away and folding features... view full answer...
Trailer tail light # RVSTL0061 is a ONE series light meaning it has less electrical components so it draws less power. It has a built-in reflex to help make it brighter. And it is pretty bright. Take a look at the video I have linked on it. But the regular version, # RVSTL61, will be as bright since it uses more LEDs. They are so close in brightness, as you can see in the videos, that it is a tough call. I think you would be happy with the less expensive version, # RVSTL0061. view full answer...
Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-522115-4 fits the Kia Soul with manual transmission for model years 2017 through 2019.
For 2014 through 2016 model years a different crossbar style kit, EZ4 part # RM-522114-4, is specified. These will not differ much in terms of installation but the instructions for both are linked so you can review and compare and then decide for yourself.
I also linked a helpful overview article on flat towing that covers all the essentials. This article... view full answer...
The Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack part # NV22G and Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack part # Y02443 are both excellent options for a 2020 Kia Telluride with trailer hitch such as the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13420. I recommend the Kuat NV as the finish is much nicer, the best on the market actually and it has some additional features that the HoldUp does not such as the integrated bike repair stand and larger wheel size compatibility. view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver 24940 and # 24965 both will fit 2011 to 2017 Kia Optima models. The only difference between them really is that the # 24965 will also fit 2018 Hyundai Sonata's excluding the hybrid as well where the discontinued part 24940 only fit Sonata models through 2017.
There is no difference for your 2016 Kia Optima, so I recommend the less expensive of the two.
If you will be using this hitch receiver for towing, I recommend the ball mount # 3593... view full answer...

The Curt # C67FR does have better ground clearance than the Draw-Tite # DT25GR for your 2020 Kia Soul. The reason you have to make a cutout for the Draw-Tite and not the Curt is because Draw-Tite decided to add a plate between the crossbeam and the receiver whereas the Curt has the standard downtube (see attached).
The Curt instructions do call out using the Support Strap # 18050 for all non-trailer loads but this is something they are in the process of eliminating from their instructions.... view full answer...
Both RF- and wired-type proportional brake controllers use an accelerometer to detect braking in the tow vehicle in order to send a proportional brake signal to the trailer brakes. These are often preferred over the time-delay type which apply the same user-determined preset braking power no matter the amount of braking applied in the tow vehicle. You might refer to the linked article that reviews these and other brake controller characteristics.
Proportional controllers such as the Tekonsha... view full answer...
Although the trailer hitch itself will support non-trailer loads like bike racks and cargo carriers, this type of weight does put added strain on the hitch. In order to alleviate the leveraging affect that a non-trailer load places on the hitch, Curt likes to error on the side of caution and require the use of stabilizing/support strap, like part # 18050, to maintain their warranty.
With this being said, I can not say that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13073, is of a lesser quality... view full answer...
Great question! The difference is that the "D" in the 80D13, like the Kenda # AM1ST79, means it is a Bias ply tire where the "R" in the 80R13, like the Kenda # AM10208, means it is a Radial ply tire.
Bias tires are the original trailer tire and do a great job. They have a stiffer sidewall which makes them better for off-road and agricultural trailers. Radials are the "new" kid on the block and are designed more for highway trailer use. They have more flex in the sidewall which helps handling... view full answer...
I'll start off by saying that both the Curt # C13195 and Draw-Tite # 75908 are very similar hitches and both of them will have the same 13" ground clearance. With that said I do recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13195 because the Curt hitches have a bit heavier powder coating and will stand up to the rigors of the road a bit better. You're likely still going to want to be a little careful when going out of steeper driveways, but nothing... view full answer...
There are indeed a couple options for a Thule roof rack for your 2023 Kia Telluride, with the difference being the crossbars and how they mount. I have added a couple photos for you showing the difference in how they look (note the photos are of the crossbars in silver but they also come in black).
One of them will have flush-mounted crossbars which are shorter (front bar is 41" long & rear bar is 37-1/2" long) but give your '23 Telluride a bit more overall contoured look, while the other... view full answer...
It's better to have the capacity and not need it, than wonder "where will we put this third bike?" The extra weight capacity of the 3-bike version will also pay off in the long run since they're designed to be slightly sturdier than the 2-bike versions. The main downside is the extra length so keep that in mind when you're parking or backing into spaces with just the Kia Soul.

Compared to the other aero crossbars, the Thule WingBar EVO Crossbars # TH711300 include a top-of-the-line design and materials. The WingBar EVO Crossbars are made with a TrailEdge shape and have WindDiffuser strips that help with maintaining air resistance. The Draw-Tite # 75908 is more hidden with the recessed aspect of the hitch pin hole being 5-1/2 inches from the outermost part of the bumper. The height is 15-1/2 inches from the inside top of the receiver to the ground.
The Curt # C13195 is very similar in style and has a hitch pin hole that is 4-1/2 inches from the outermost part of the bumper so it is 1 inch closer to the outside of the bumper. The hitch does sit closer to the ground with the top inside of the receiver 13-1/2 inches... view full answer...
